Why wasn't 'Vera' on the telly? Options

I came back from Mum's last night expecting to watch Vera and it wasn't on. Does anyone know why? I was really looking forward to watching it!

yes it wasn't on as it was about Soldiers in Afghanistan,

and due to the recent tragic events it's now going to be aired later in the year,
